PRESIDENT Carl Teipel The term Perisphere is a combination of two Greek words. To the Greeks a sphere signified harmony. The great ball housing the theme exhibit of the New York World's'Fair also bears this name. Perispheres is a title especially suitable to the junior class, for after three years in high school they realize their interdependence and the part they are taking in building the Per- rysburg of Tomorrow. In their freshman year, as a class of 88 they sponsored a convocation program and a dance. Robert Marriott was president, Robert Dibling, vice-presidentp Bernard Schwind, secretary- treasurer. As sophomores the class was in charge of a convocation and presented several one-act ,.,... .,.,, vt, . . .Frith H 'ffilfl -- I H if Hit? fly ,gh -wg 'ml fr-5 wr. A similar honor went to four boyswho were elected to the Hi-Y. In April the Perispheres gave a dance for the entire school. The officers for this year were Robert Dibling, president, Grace Mills, vice-president, Robert Wagoner, secretary: and. Bernard Schwind, treasurer. Now reduced to 70 members, the Perispheres have spent an active year. The annual Christ- mas dance and the Armistice Day convocation were given by them. Wishing to aid the Trylons in attaining their desired trip to the Fair, the class held a bake sale and sponsored a movie and two after-game dances. Advisers for the class were Miss Young and Mr. Huffman. 1 if it ' ,. :aft - fzf ' i . . A , 9 :sl I 1. SECRETARY-TREASURER Chcrla Eckel
