After these two weeks our coaches soon knew the materialtheyhadtowcrkwlththis year. Om- first game was with Bell- mar, a Class A contender. They gave the boys a real beating, 34-6- but the team learned a lesson from this game. In our first Class B game with Ellsworth, we came back suong with a 20-6 victory. Point Marion was next--our first Class B Coimty gameg and in a hard fought muddy contest, we came out the victcr, 13-0. Then came our first Class B defeat. It was a hard fought loss to Snowden by the score of 19-14. The game that followed wasn't much of a contest. Edgewood a big, hard running team gave our boys a game that we'll want to forget. The score was 32-O. I' Football if , The next game we bounced back on the winning ways. We won with a score of 26-7 victory over West Newton. We followed that in with a 20-14 score over East I-hmtlngton. In our next game with South Hunt- ington, it was a hard fougxt battle. But our boys just couldn't get started and we lost with 13-0. Finally came the game every- one was waiting for--the Fayette County Class B Championship game with Masontown. The week of the game our student body had the most spirit this school has ever seen. The boys didn't let them down and C3132 off the grid with a 9-6 victory. After thisgametheseasoncametoanend. Pir record, 5-4 wasn't the best the school has ever seen, but we won the Class B Trophy, and that made the season a success.
