A LOOK BACK AT ONE OF PERRY'S OUTSTANDING WRESTLERS: DREW DAVIS When last year's yearbook was printed, no picture was available of Drew Davis. Therefore the yearbook staff would like to include a picture of Drew in this year’s edition along with a list of his wrestling accomplishments. In 1987 Drew finished in 4th place in the state AA wrestling tournament which was the highest place finish in Perry wrestling history. Drew was a four time regional qualifier from 19841987 and finished second in the 138 lb. class in 1987 He was the district champion in 1987 and the district runner-up in 1986. He was the All ESC League Wrestler three times, and News Herald wrestler of the week in 1986 and 1987. Drew was the Grand Valley Wrestling Tournament Champion and Most Valuable Wrestler in 1986. and the Hawken Tournament Champion in 1987. and 1986. In 1986 Drew won the Perry Most Pins Award. Most Takedowns Award, and was the Most Valuable Wrestler. In 1987 Drew won the Perry Most Valuable Wrestler award. Most Takedowns Award, and Team Point Award.
