HALFTIME HOMECOMING Neither rein, nor sleet, nor roar of thunder could stop the 1982 homecoming festivities from occuring on Friday, October 16. These elements were responsible for having the postponement of activities until halftime. At the scheduled time for homecoming the weather began to turn awful with severe lighting, hail, and ram laced with sleet. It was decided therefore, that all activities would be held off until halftime. By the time halftime came the skies cleared and the attendants were able to be escorted onto the windswept field for introductions. A record number of attendants were represented this year at homecoming. This year the student body decided to add the three foreign exchange students as honorary attendants. This made a total of eleven attendants. Caroline Duffy was crowned Queen by last year's queen, Linda Flacke, before a packed and very cold crowd. Festivities continued all through the game and after the 496 win against Ledgemont. Saturday night the band Heartbreaker provided the beat to this year's theme of Jungleland , which brought out the beast in many who attended. Homecoming 1982 will be remembered as the year of the halftime homecoming in which waders were the fashion for the night. Stephanie Klco, Allison Leone, Mayka Bartolome, Last year's queen: Linda Flacke. and Senior Shari Leskovac.
