Jerry Cantrell and Doug Zinn also scored for the varsity team. The team possessed the kind of pride which made them work hard to win, harder than any team I have coached. Although they were very young, with three freshman and a sophomore on the varsity seven squad, they worked for each other to improve the team as a whole. The seniors on the squad provided the necessary leadership to turn a rebuilding year into a winning season. 130 Captures Title But, fellas, I don’t wanna go swimming! 131 Varsity Squad Worked to Improve Team Left to Right: Mike Derk, Paavo Hanninen.
