The traditional kiss was bestowed upon Miss Davis by Don Johnson, student body president, at the annual Homecoming Dance the following night. SENIOR-Judy Warner SOPHOMORE-Linda Diliow - 67 - “Moonlight and Roses” IS THEME FOR JUNIOR - SENIOR PROM Mag 15, 1964 - 68 - - 69 - Connie One of the top single honors that can go to any high school student is the opportunity to travel abroad for an entire school year. This year our classmate, Connie Dugan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dugan, was selected from the countless number of applicants who submitted their names in hope that they would be one of the lucky few chosen to represent our country . Connie left on board the SEVEN SEAS to travel to Holland where whe lived with the Jan Kuipers family for a memorable year. During her stay Connie traveled with her 6 adopted family throughout many European countries enjoying the fascinating sights and adventures of a new experience. Connie has been a faithful reporter writing her impressions of her travels and of Europe's historical landmarks from the Swiss Alps to the famed Italian Riviera . Congratulations are to be extended to Connie for receiving this deserved honor and for being Perry’s first A.F.S. student to go abroad. Zafer This year our second Foreign Exchange Student, Zafer Dorter, comes to us from Istanbul, Turkey. Zafer has lived the 63-64 school year with the Richard Palmer fam ily . Several places of interest that Zafer enjoyed visiting during his stay were Niagra Falls and the Henry Ford Museum in Detroit, Michigan. ” Zafe toured with the Juniors through several Ohio colleges and also attended the Ohio State Student Council Convention in Columbus. Zafer adjusted well to American customs and school life. He remarked that he like-ed the informality between the faculty and students at P.H.S. The day of the Fa culty - Senior Boys' Basketball game saw Zafe fighting hard for the Senior cause. We have learned from Zafer of his homeland, his customs, and the Turkish way of life. We hope Zafer has had many enjoyable times in America and that he will think of Perry often in the years to come. - 75 - t I 0 H a I jH o H 0 r S 0 c 1 e t y SENIOR INDUCTEES: William Hixson-Sponsor, Anita Orosz, Ken DeBold, Bill Craine, Paul Leekala, Ron Kinkade, Ann Beardslee, Jim Fryer. Our patrons deserve many thanks for their kind support and investment in this yearbook. The Senior Class members also deserve thanks for soliciting the patrons and for raising the necessary funds to produce the 1964 TREASURE CHEST.
