The armed service then did call to claim two swell guys This Senior Class of ’43 sincerely wish, hope and pray We’ve brought some happiness to Perry that will forever stay. We scoffed at those who said we’d be sorry when we were through But now we’re feeling mighty sad as we bid P.H.S. “Adieu.”

If we would ever graduate—we were on the way — by thunder. Ah—listen folks about the love that hit our Freshman class George, and Bob, and also Chuck took lessons from a “Sweet” lass. Honors now for our dear class were beginning to appear. The girls took to music and sports for the boys so dear. Not much gain was made that year in either of our courses But give us time you important guys, we’ll show ya where our force is. We needed not much time, as you’ve probably heard the rumpus; For ’twas our girls who traveled to Kent and to Columbus. Yes, the Sophomore class was very proud to have members in the chorus. They really sang their hearts out for our Government, victorious. Nothing happened along the line of the so-called sports career, But all our fellows needed was the experience of a year They gained that experience and went to town to win for P. H. S. The champion of Western Reserve in football, that you guessed And also in our Junior year it always is the duty To sponsor a Junior-Senior Prom ours sure was a beauty. Our enrollment increased by three that year—Dick, Geneva and Gerry. They heard about our super-class. That’s why they moved to Perry. Out of our way you lower classmen. We’re the seniors now — YIPPEE We’ve waited twelve long years (and how) our diplomas for to see We started off with a great bang, an annual we had planned,

To these persons and things we do bequeath our fortunes: Ruth Averill wills her speaking ability to Alfred Safick. Muriel Brooks wills her gleaming red hair to Martha Szaniszlo. Betty Burt wills her powerful legs to Laverne Ge-deon. Betty Freiberger wills her collection of waste paper in her desk to anyone who can make spit-balls Gerry Haas wills her coy manner to Hertha Pohto. Emma (Rheba) Jabs wills her ability to play character roles to any up and coming actress. Neva Johnson leaves her ballet slippers to Loretta Jones. Cleo Phillips wills her petite shape to Peggy Heve-sey. Catherine Rhoades wills her shortness to Ralph Bunnell. Edna Skinner wills her dimples to Miss Skidmore. Ruth Smith leaves her rippling giggle to Millie Beach.
