The Junior Year was theyear that was to maxe or breax us, andconfidentlyspeaking, nsmadeus in a bigway. Firstweselected Ray Nash as thstalented and capable sponsor who was to lead us through all the ups and downs that we, Juniors, were bound to encounter. Weelected for ourstarr officers, Fredericx Talbert Presidentg FlintStuart, VicePresidentg Alta Tillson, Secretary and Mona Noe, Treasurer. In February, the Juniors sponsored a magazine sale that certainly set a precedent that year by selling over 31,000 worth of magazines and we think that record will stand for quite some time. As the result of his outstanding salesman- snip, Barry Bennett received a beautiful gold wristwatch. We made S340 and gave half of it to the 'Lighting Fund.' In March the Juniors sponsored the play, 'House For Sale, Haunted.' Under the able guidance of Mr. Nash and with hard worn and co-operation from UBB class, the play was a great success. Class spirit was so pronounced that we had to have two casts in order to accommodate all the Juniors who wanted to play a role. we made a very good profit because we pre- sented the play two nights. The next important event for us, Juniors, was tneldum with UDB theme 'Beneath The Stars.' Before the Prom we and our guests had engoyed a banquet and a program of toasts and music. As Seniors we had the most difficult tasx or our high school days lying ahead of us. We elected as our staff or officers for this important year, Norman Sandin, President g Mona Noe, Vice Presidentg Catherine Morton, Secretaryg and Dorothy Warren, Treasurer. Miss Ella Phelps was chosen as our advisor. 'Brain Storm' Une Senior play based on a wean, spine- less character who is startled by the actual appearance or his conscience, was presented in November. Some of our money maxing schemes were the worn at con- cessions during root-ball and basket-ball games, selling pennants, social calendars and sponsoring dances. Plans are now being made forour carnival under the lighUSOf the Athletic Field. The year closes with a lane trip beginning May 29.
