JANUARY 2-Everyone is straggling back to school--plowing through snowdrifts! I I-Affirmative debate at Potterville. 25-Everyone seems to have a furrowed brow. Can it possibly be caused by the Semester Examinations? 28-Affirmative debate with Holly. FEBRUARY I-Teachers Institute in Owosso. I9-Mother and Daughter banquet sponsored by Perry Girl Reserves. MARCH II-Perry High received platt from the county at a Pep Meeting for C championship in basketball. I3-Athletic banquet given at the M. W. A. Hall. V APRIL I-Folly Day for Seniors. Senior Class was invited for a Folly party at M. EuIer's Home. High School received a cup from the league for C Championship in Basketball. 26-Baseball-Perry vs. Ovid. 26-2 7-junior play entitled Aaron Boggs, Freshman. 30-Baseball--Perry vs. St. Charles. MAY 3-Baseball-Corunna at Perry. 4-The Girls Conference held at Perry. 7-Baseball-Ovid at Perry. I0-Baseball-Elsie at Perry. I5-I6-May festival held at High School. Music furnished by Glee Club, . Orchestra, Kindergarten band, grades and a selected High School operetta. I4-Baseball-Perry at Chesaning. I7-Baseball--Durand at Perry. 24-Junior and Senior Banquet. 30-Baseball-Laingsburg and Perry. GALE N DAR SEPTEMBER -School opened! There is a wild dash for the back seats. Juniors sadly find that they are in the Senior row and must move! -The first chapel meeting -A trial football game at Bath. We won! 25-7. Friday evening the Sophomore class initiated the Freshmen. Also the Juniors and Seniors held a Uweeinern roast at Lockes woods. --Every one found himself put into a different seat, or with new neighbors! Where will we be tomorrow? -Perry Business Men and the Shiawassee University of Michigan Club presented the High School with a bronze platt. Each pupil passing requirements will have his name placed upon this platt. , OCTOBER -News broke out that school would not be closed for the fair at Fowler- ville. -Football-Perry at Ovid -First Pep Meeting. -First Student Council Meeting. They decided that each pupil be marked in Citizenship! Something more to think about. -Eight candidates tried out for debating. Each gave a short speech on the Necessity of a Sudsidy for the Merchant Marine in America. -Football-Perry vs. St. Charles. -Football-Chesaning-Perry. 23-No school!! Teachers institute at Lansing. -Football-Laingsburg and Perry. Freshman Return Party. NOVEMBER -Football-Perry and Elsie. -All-school party held at Grange Hall. - -Chapel-Sophomore Clothing Class gave a style show. -Trial Debate before the H. S. between Perry Negative and Affirmative. -First League debate. Perry Negative and Gaines Affirmative. -Seniors began the sale of Uannualsf' -Pictures taken for annual. LOST- One mustache by Mr. Haskins. Finder please return to owner and receive reward. Students of Perry High -Thanksgiving vacation! DECEMBER -Negative debate with New Lothrop. l5-Senior Play. Deacon Dubbsf' -Basketball-St. Charles and Perry. Drew names for Xmas. -Christmas Vacation. Who's sorry? I HIE TIIIIITY-SIX

SOUIETYP FRESHMAN INITIATION PARTY On the last Friday in September the freshmen were initiated by the sophomores at the Woodman I'Iall. The sophs treated the poor little freshies roughly by feeding them the Hcats' eyeballs , soap, salted. and peppered milk and chocolate suckers. Refreshments were served by the sophomores. Miss Mitchell and Mr. Gardener chaperoned. FRESI-IIVIAN RETURN PARTY The Freshmen gave the Sophomores a Return Party at the Woodman I-Iall, October 26. The hall was decorated in orange and black keeping in touch with the I-IalIowe'en spirit. At the conclusion of the evening a buffet luncheon was served. Mrs. Coulter and Miss Mitchell were chaperons. A GIRL RESERVE--I-II. Y. PARTY The first of the holiday parties was given at the school building December l9. Games and stunts were enjoyed by everyone. A novel feature of the party was the drawing of presents from a Uchristmas Pie. Popcorn balls and apples provided the refreshments. Mrs. Coulter, Miss Nlitchell and Mr. Thurston chaperoned. ALL-CLASS PARTY The All-Class party was held November Zncl. This party was one of the most successful functions of the year. Games and stunts were enjoyed and due to the interest of the chaperons, Miss Mitchell, Mr. Thurston and Mr. and Mrs. Haskins, an unusually large number entered into the fun. JUNIOR AND SENIOR PARTY The Junior's and Senior's held an all-class party at I..ocke's Woods on October I9. Games and songs were enjoyed until the flickering firelightu announced that it was time to roast weeiners. Approximately 50 were present. The Misses Swarthout, Smith, McDonough, and Mr. and Mrs. I-Iaskins chaperoned. GIRL RESERVE CEREIVIONIAL Eight girls received their Girl Reserve rings at a very pretty ceremony held in the Auditorium in October. They received these rings for develop- ing outstanding qualities and attaining certain achievements. Mrs. Coulter, advisor, awarded the rings to the following girls: Ruth Morris, Norma Bou- tell, Majel Euler, Elsie Main, I-Ielen Turner, Gertrude Johnson, Frances Burns and Letha Peck.
