When rhe Junior Class of 1981-82 entered school in August, ,we were given o new role — leaders. The Junior Class responded with o tremendous magazine sole effort ond worked Diligently on our Jr.-Sr. to moke it rhe best yet! Even though we were leaders, we also hod to maintain our old role os followers. The Junior Class maintained colm under pressure. For example, while standing in rhe lunch line oil rhe way bock to rhe end of rhe holl, we did nor lose our cool. We grinned ond endured it. As many know, it wos nor rhe easiest thing to do. Another crisis that rhe Juniors rook in stride wos rhe very challenging PSAT. But we met this challenge head on ond. os o school, we scored exceptionally well according to store statistics. Through it oil we survived. We hod no regrets. Now that it is oil over we con look forward to our most exciting high school year. An excellent job was done by the Master and Mistress of Ceremonies, Shawn Broderick and Jennifer Clayton. Each girl displayed her talent very well in a wide variety of ways. The formal weor competition was also very unique. All contestants did well by expressing much poise and beauty in modeling their formal wear. During intermissions Michael Lyons displayed his talent by performing magic, and Cedric Mickels by singing. If rakes much rime, effort and hard work to put an annual together. I hope that this annual is filled with many reminiscences. The Perryscope staff and sponsors have spent hours trying to preserve your memories. I thank each of them and Carla Detscher for her help with copy, the Houston Home Journal'' for its supply of pictures, and Ken Thomas for his help with the photography. I express my deepest regrets for the missing or bod pictures due to the annual staff photographer. This 1981-1982 school year has been one to remember. For the seniors, it is the end of their high school days; for the sophomores, the beginning; and for the juniors the halfway mark. We hove hod fun times, sorrowful ones, exciting and dull ones. There hove been many changes in our lives. It has been a rime for each of us to stand bock and soy, Look At What's Happening To Me! Jody Tyson Editor In Chief I
