The Perry Board of Education is made up of dedi- cated and respected citizens of the community. These men work to maintain the best teaching staffs, provide necessary facilities for learning, coordinate and direct teaching methods and provide a curriculum that meets the needs of all the students in the Perry School System. Q 09 -:' .gn MR. LEWIS P. JOHNSON, Assistant Principal Mr. Lewis P. johnson has been Assistant Principal of Perry High for the past two years. Before coming to Perry, Mr. johnson was Assistant Principal at Edison Junior High School for two years. Prior to that he was elementary principal at New Franklin for seven years. Mr. johnson received a Bachelor of Science degree from Mount Union College and later his Master of Education degree from Kent State University. While stationed in Germany Mr. Johnson served with the Occupational Forces and also did special work with the Atomic Energy Commission. Mr. johnson is a member of such Professional organizations as: East Cen- tral Ohio Teacher Association, Stark County Teachers Association, Ohio Education Association, and he is a Stark County Attendance Officer. Perry's Assistant Principal is an extremely active man. He has charge of student attendance and has a very special gift for tracking down truants. Mr. johnson's position is not always the most popular one, however, he has a friendly way of handling the most unpleasant situations.

L K -. xi, 41 MR. PAUL PFIEFFER, Superintendent of Schools :lan for Perry's future Mr. Paul F. Pfeiffer has been superin- tendent of the Perry school system for eleven years. Mr. Pfeiffer graduated from Wooster College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in education. He continued his education at Kent State University, receiving a Master of Education degree. He is also a member of Phi Delta Kappag National Honor So- ciety. Before coming to Perry, Mr. Pfeiffer was executive head of South East Local School District, Portage County. He spends many hours in the interest of the Pefry schools and community. This was evidenced by the results of the past election when both the school operating levy and bond issues were passed. Mr. Pfeiffer uses his good judgment on various matters concerning the welfare of Perry Students. One such occasion is de- ciding whether or not the buses will run on snowy mornings. Au .
