Q 09 -:' .gn MR. LEWIS P. JOHNSON, Assistant Principal Mr. Lewis P. johnson has been Assistant Principal of Perry High for the past two years. Before coming to Perry, Mr. johnson was Assistant Principal at Edison Junior High School for two years. Prior to that he was elementary principal at New Franklin for seven years. Mr. johnson received a Bachelor of Science degree from Mount Union College and later his Master of Education degree from Kent State University. While stationed in Germany Mr. Johnson served with the Occupational Forces and also did special work with the Atomic Energy Commission. Mr. johnson is a member of such Professional organizations as: East Cen- tral Ohio Teacher Association, Stark County Teachers Association, Ohio Education Association, and he is a Stark County Attendance Officer. Perry's Assistant Principal is an extremely active man. He has charge of student attendance and has a very special gift for tracking down truants. Mr. johnson's position is not always the most popular one, however, he has a friendly way of handling the most unpleasant situations.

, 'ia:s' in . qi . C315 as f r 5- 'gr-sri'- ' 1 MR. DALE E. BEATTY, Principal As a dedicated administrator, Mr. Dale Beatty has served Perry High for the past four years. He came to Perry with an impressive background. Following his graduation from Fairmont State College he attended West Virginia State University where he earned a Master's degree in Administration. His first teaching position was at Norfolk, Virginia, and later he became a member of the faculty at Dover, Ohio. Four years ago he came to Perry as Assistant Principal and has been Principal for the past two years. Mr. Beatty is a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served four years. His professional affiliations are as follows: National Association of Secondary School Prin- cipals, American Association of School Administrators, Ohio Education Association, Ohio Association of Second- ary School Principals, East Central Ohio Teacher Asso- ciation, Stark County Teachers Association. Mr. Beatty's abilities extend far beyond that of ad- ministrator. His vim, vigor and enthusiasm, one of his favorite expressions, overflow at pep rallies and school functions. The improvement of Perry High School's education, morals and physical character is always his first concern. Although his duties are varied and never ending, he is always willing to help troubled students with their problems. F Q

The Perry Board of Education is made up of dedi- cated and respected citizens of the community. These men work to maintain the best teaching staffs, provide necessary facilities for learning, coordinate and direct teaching methods and provide a curriculum that meets the needs of all the students in the Perry School System.
