The Impossible Dream, ' from the play Man of La Mancha , words and music by joe Darion and Mitch Leigh, and made famous by singer jack jones, can apply to any situation where a challenge must be met. Thus, this is the purpose for selecting this as the theme of the 1968 CLOCK. Students must meet a challenge daily in their never ending search for a better education and life. FOREWORD From the solitude of the classroom to the nu- merous battlefields of the world, the impossible dream is repeatedly being met and conquered by the will of mankind. An unanswered ques- tion is answered, an unknown formula dis- covered, a dying man saved, and a lost identity found. The Impossible Dream, is made a reality through the accomplishment of a single goal and the sweat, the scorn, the paing the instan- taneous strength and long lonely hours of medi- tation become a worthwhile experience because of one man's striving for its possibility.
