Concrete was poured and steel beams were erected. A wall was constructed to begin the gymnasium. As the years go by, time leaves its mark on all things made by man and God. Age brings not only weakness, destruction, and senility, but also strength, beauty, and maturity. The story of the ages is endless. This year marks the tenth anniversary of Perry High School. Some of its members have weakened, but the school itself is stronger. We have avoided destruc- tion and developed beauty, shunned senility and ac- quired maturity. When Perry High School opened its doors in 1956 there was a new student body and a new faculty. During the past ten years many have left and not returned. Some have come back and are now teaching with their former instructors. Still l l others have remained through the years, contributing their services to an ever growing and expanding school system. These teachers are celebrating their tenth anniversary at Perry Veronica Nist, Lou Clauss, and Kathryn Bethune joined the Several of our graduates went on to college then returned to teach special services staff in 1956. in the Perry School district.
