The cast of the ninth grade play, GOOD MORN- ING MISS DOVE. Freshman Present Good Morning Miss Dove The 1967-68, Ninth Grade play, GOOD MORNING MISS DOVE, was an adaption of Frances Gray Patton's award winning novel. In professional performances as a dramatic presentation, the title role has been played by such fine actresses as Helen Hayes and jennifer Jones, who appeared in the film version. For Perry Centra1's presentation, Mrs. Dial and Mr. O'Neill wrote supplementary scenes to update the play and to include more students in the cast. David Bet- ner, student directory Bob Tomlinson, stage manager, and Mike Keen, student coordinator were the student assistants for the play. For the first time, the play was presented on two nights. Friday and Saturday, March 22 and 23. Miss Dove is a school teacher who exercises great in- fluence on the whole town of Liberty Hill. Graduates come back to her for advice. Everyone calls on her at the hospital during her illness. But the richest parents in town bring her before the School Board on charges of undue severity with their son. Elaine Dyer, Gwynn Motley, Janice I-Ioeltke, Debbie I-Iannebaum, jeff I-Ioffmeister, and jim Wilson try out for parts. Gail Boger and Karen Weaver portray play characters.
