Seventh and Eighth Grade Choruses The eighth graders were represented by two eighth grade girls choruses. Planning to increase their ex- perience and knowledge of vocal music, the eighth grade girls choruses sang at convocations and the Spring Concert. Several of the group also received first division ratings in the Indiana Central College Vocal Contest. Miss Woodruff directed the chorus pictured above. The officers of that group were: Denise Marquette, presidentg Sandy Lester, vice- presidentg janet Gunnion, secretaryg and Sharon Grant, treasurer. The director of the girls chorus below was Mrs. Mullen. The officers were: janet Thompson, presidentg Cathy Denny, vice-presidentg Jenny Goben, secretaryg and Mollie Phillips,t1-easurer

dang Their Wa To Success Composed of freshmen students interested in vocal music, these two choruses were formed to promote this interest and increase the students knowledge of vocal music. This was the first year for Perry Central to have two such groups. They performed at various convocations and the Spring Concert. Pursued Vocal Careers in Music N The eighth grade boys chorus was composed of se- lected eighth grade boys who were interested in vo- cal music. The purpose of the seventh grade mixed chorus was to help the students gain choral singing experience and stimulate their interest in this area. Although both groups performed in certain convoca tions, the main activity was singing in the Spring Concert. The director of the seventh grade mixed chorus was Mrs. Mullen. The officers were: Ted Briggs, president, Janet Rusher, vice-presidentg Becky Christie, secretary, and Gary Burks, treasurer. Mr. Iverson was director of the boys chorus. The officers of that group were: jerry Underwood, presidentg Stan Brehob, vice-president, Norman Hoss, secretaryg and David Roberts, treasurer. Sue Hilgeman was the ac- companist for the boys chorus.
