The major activity of the 7th grade band this year was their performance at the Spring Concert. Also several members from the band went to the solo and ensemble contest at Indiana Central College. Mr. Iverson was the director. The officers were Kristi Culver, Captaing Bob Boyd, lst Lieutenantg Pam lines, 2nd Lieutenantg jim Pennell, Master Sergeantg Jack Bush, Technical Sergeantg LuAnne Michel, 1st Sergeantg jeff Ellis, 2nd Sergeant. The main goal of the Varsity Band this past year was to boost school spirit at pep sessions and home bas- ketball games. Band members also participated at the solo and ensemble contest at Indiana Central College and performed in the fall marching contest and the annual spring concert. The director was Mr. Iverson. The officers were Casey Davis, Captaing Joe Moore, 1st Lieutenantg Carol Hunt 2nd Lieute- nantg Donna Harmeson, Master Sergeantg Jim Court- ney, Technical Sergeantg Linda Eggbert, lst Sergeantg Paul Bowman, 2nd Sergeant.

Instrumental Students Created a World of Sound The orchestra was composed of selected eighth and ninth grade students from the symphonic band and all students who played a string instrument. Rehearsals X which demanded the attendance of the wind players as well as string players were held after school. This extra rehearsal time was used in preparation for ee V Christmas and Thanksgiving convocations and the Spring Concert held annually. In addition to these performances, the orchestra made a tour to some of .1 the Perry Township elementary schools. They played , 2, a few orchestra numbers and demonstrated the versa- ' tility of their instruments to their young audiences, it Mr. Iverson was the director.
