The Pillar Stall Piotoriall Recorded utstanding Events of ur World TOP ROW: Gwynn Motley, Terri Curry, Teresa Cronkhite, Don Buck, Patty I-louston, Patti Nikoll, Marlene Geiger. MIDDLE ROW: Debbie Dubin, Bill Copenhaver, Kent Moseman, Rick Young, jeff l-Ioffmeister, Bill Oates, Lynne Thompson. BOTTOM ROW: Miss Whitten, Barry Kress, Susan Dick, Tami Weaver, Midge Kissling, Steve Nelson. Selected eighth and ninth grade students in- terested in the hard work and preparation of getting a yearbook ready for publication made up the 1968 PILLAR staff. The editor, Gwynn Motley, and the assistant editors, Midge Kissling and Tami Weaver, worked especially hard on division pages, opening and closing, and helped the staff members with the plans and problems of their sections. The students with the re- sponsibility of preparing the copy, pictures, layout, and headlines of special sections were: jeff Hoffrneister, student life, Patti Nikoll, academics, Don Buck, sports, Teresa Cronk- hite, organizations, Susan Dick, students, and Terri Curry, faculty. The photographer, Bill Oates, gave of his time and did a fine job of taking the necessary pictures for the yearbook. Kent Moseman, overseer of the sales commit- tee, had a successful year with advance year- book sales of over 1000. Our sponsor, who helped throughout the year by giving much of her time to help insure a finished section by deadlines, was Miss Whitten. Gwynn Motley, editor of the 1968 PILLAR.

Student ounoil-Voice of ur World The voice of the student body to the faculty Council went Christmas caroling and sponsored was our Student Council. The officers were: many contests with the school promoting school Don Buck, presidentg Sharon Adams, vice- spirit. Mr. Callon, our principal, sponsored the presidentg Bob Hague, secretaryg and Lynda Student COu1'1Ci1- Frazee, treasurer. The members of the Student Perryodioal Provided Our ews The editor of the PERRYODICAL, Darrell Jerden, and the assistant editors, Christina Mc- Ree, Bob Bush, and Pat Moore, were to see that each issue of the PERRYODICAL was completed and ready to be published for each deadline. The news of sports events, con- vocations, or other special highlights of Central life were presented to the students by way of the PERRYODICAL and its staff. Hice Workers Assisted the Faculty The girls working in the office gave up their study halls to help in the guidance and general offices. Their help was greatly appreciated. Chess Club embers Enjoyed the Game The Chess Club learned many interesting facts concerning the game of chess, had fun playing chess, and declared a championchess player at the end of the year. The officers were: Bob Bush, presidentg and Mark Harvey, Vice- president. The sponsor was Mr. Metheny.
