Guidance in ur World giayi i w Mr. Banks is eighth grade counselor at Perry Cenual. He helps the eighth grade students plan for their freshman year. Mr. Banks also teaches social studies Magi Mr. Bertram, the ninth grade counselor and head of the guidance department, gives assist- ance to the ninth grade pupils on scheduling their future years at Southport High School. He administers the IQ and achievement tests at the beginning of the year. He counsels ninth grade students concerning daily problems at Perry Central. I-Ie is also the ninth grade bas- ketball coach. ' HN Hi A H U. ijglj 'Z :rg Mr. Metheny is the seventh grade counselor and a teacher of history. Next year he will follow the seventh graders through the eighth grade and continue their counseling.

Deans Solve Problems 3 ra Dean of girls is a very difficult job handled by Nh-s. Peterson She is one of the busiest people at Perry Central. Giving ad- vice to the girls and teaching ninth grade English are just two of her many duties. Mrs. Peterson plans all of our many interesting convocations and acts as mistress of ceremonies. Mr. Roark is dean of boys and vice principal of Perry Cen- tral. He assists Mr. Callon in the administrative duties and counsels the male members of our student body. 1 I9

ivers of Assistance in Gur World 4' Mrs. Dickey, the school secretary, works hard as the head of the general office. In addition to her secretarial work, she aids students with their everyday needs. The school nurse, Mrs. Rund, helps stu- dents when illness or accidents occur. She also sponsors the Nurses Club. KN. Mrs. Clements with the help of Mrs. Boger takes care of the bookkeeping at the school. In addition they operate Mrs. Davidson, the brary clerk, assists the librarian in the secretarial work of the library.
