The team had three perfect scores of 15 and two scores of 16. Robbie Thorne was the number one runner and also won the county meet. He set a new course record and broke it himself. Scott Drier was number two runner and finished second in the county meet. Warmups before the County Meet. The ninth grade team had a successful season this year winning 10 and losing 6. Coached by Mr. Bertram they beat Perry East in three out of three games. In the county tourney, the team advanced to the final game. There they lost to Northview by a score of 47 to 42. The leading scorer was Tom Davis. Mark Garriott led in rebounds.
