Student Council The Student Council of Perry Central is the school's way of student government sponsored by Mr. Callon. Election of the president and vice-presi- dent are conducted with spirited campaigns each spring. Other members, elected by homeroorns, bring complaints and suggestions to the council. Social Studies Club The purpose of the Social Studies Club is to broaden the field of interest of social studies students and to further their academic achievement. The students have had an opportunity to exhibit leadership and conduct independent research. The club visited the State Legislature to observe governmental practices first hand.

The Perryodical staff is the group which produces and publishes the school newspaper. They met each day during a study hall period. Instruction and practice in journalism was available to those who are interested in these areas. This staff is a service to the school. Debbie Ruoff aids in the production of the paper. Pep Club Pep Club is the largest school organization to which students of all grades may belong. The purpose of the club is to support our teams to victory. The members of the Pep Club are required to attend at least three games during the season. Many of the members this year have purchased Panther booster pins. The cheerleaders along with Mrs. Peterson and Mr. Beechler plan the pep sessions. G.A.A. The Girls' Athletic Association is open to any girl at Perry Central who likes physical education. The club tries to promote good sportsmanship and provide good recreational activities. They take part in such activities as bowling, volley- ball, basketball, and track events. President, Karen Clark, Vice-president, Suzanne Duvall, Secretary, Sharon Pooreg Treasurer, Marlene Geiger, Reporter, Patty George. Sponsors, Miss Baird, Mrs. Beeler, Mrs. Tabeling.
