I - The seventh grade track team split the season with Perry East. During the season, four new records were set. They are: 220 yd. dash in 26.9 sec., 880 yd. run in 2:21, high jump with a leap of 4' 8 , and shot put with a toss of 34'. Mr. Banks coached the team. Creston had been undefeated unt1I P C wrestled them The score of that meet was 24 21 They also placed first in two other larger meets One was the Perry Invitational and the other was the Mar1on County Meet. The boys who won for Perry Central were Tuggle Yeager and Pahner The team has two undefeated wrestlers. They are Rlck Tuggle and jim Yeager Yeager has been undefeated in the last two years. The eighth grade track team finished out their sea- son with a 4--5 record. This was an unusual record because they won their first two and their last two, losing in the meets between. This year two records were set. One by jim Yeager in pole vaulting and the other by Gary Martlage in the 100 yard dash. High scorers for the team were: Dave Roberts with 59 1X2 points, Gary Martlage, 52 112 pointsg Brant Bennett, 40 1X2 points, and Chuck Jordan, 31 points. The coach was Mr. Springer. Ala. ' ,.
