However, they went unde- feated in the county because their only loss was to Columbus North. Perry Central again took Perry East, with a 20 to 13 victory, for the seventh straight year. Although this year the Panthers had a little more trouble in battling with the Wolves. What looked like a possible win for East was finally ended in the fourth quarter with a touchdown by Steve Mont- gomery. Other scores were a safety by Steve Boeke and Bob Bray, and touchdowns by Steve Montgomery and Steve Ingmire. High scorers for the team were Montgomery with 66 points and Martlage with 42 points. The coaches for this years team were Mr. Strader, backfield coach, and Mr. Beck- ham, linemen coach. Panthers close in on offense. Perry East The seventh grade basketball team ended their season with a 16--3 record. The A-team had a record of 8--2. Their only losses were to Fulton, with a very close score of 26 to 27, and to Perry East with scores of 45 to 57. However they did beat Perry East in a game played earlier in the season. Mike Harper was the leading scorer for the A-tearn. Harper scores two for the A team. 52 -
