The boys' gym class above is learning how to wrestle. Students in Guidance All freshmen are required to take guidance. This class was held every other day all year. The topics discussed were politics, law, drugs, and school. Films and film strips were shown to help the under- standing. There were many speakers to give their views on the topics discussed. X Sr-1 Mathematics is a required subject for seventh, eighth, and ninth grade students. The freshmen have a choice of general math or al- gebra. There are three programs, one for the average student, one for the above average or enriched student, and one for the slow learners. The slow learners are taught primarily the same things, as the enriched students, only at a slower pace. 22
