The students were taught lettering, pencil sketching, ink sketching, different ways of using paint, and how to work with clay. The stu- dents learned new and different techniques in what- ever they experimented with. Upper left: This eighth grade class is experimenting with different uses of ink. The boys' gym class above is learning how to wrestle. Students in Guidance All freshmen are required to take guidance. This class was held every other day all year. The topics discussed were politics, law, drugs, and school. Films and film strips were shown to help the under- standing. There were many speakers to give their views on the topics discussed. Left: A representative of the sl1eriff's department discussed the laws of Indiana government with the guidance classes.
