Homecoming with the new one day approach was the first big project. The Homecoming dance was a huge success. Pep assemblies and general assemblies, like the Navy Band Spirit , were also planned and presented. As usual, tickets at football and basketball games were handled by A.S.B. bills and activities were voted on weekly. In 1946, the current international scholarship program for secondary schools was created. The basic idea of the American Field Service is to promote world peace and understanding through the youth of our many nations. This past year, there were 2,700 students from over 60 different countries in the United States and 1,900 American students sent to over 40 nations. r, FFA FUTURE FARMERS OF AMERICA I The Perris FFA kept very busy this year, competing in different field days and fairs. They won several ribbons and trophies dur- ing the year and are send- ing two delegates to the FFA Calif. State Conven- tion.
