C1OVERNOR'S SCHOOL - EAST Michael Bullard represented PCHS during the summer of 1978 at Gover- nor's School - East. He attended a six-week program at St. Andrews Pres- byterian College in Laurinburg, N.C. Michael's field of study was natural sci- ence. This was the first Governor's School - East and plans are being made to expand from 200 to 400 stu- dents in 1979. While he was there, Michael enjoyed sports, music, and drama. NORTH CAROLINA SCHOOL OF THE ARTS Annette johnson represented PCHS during the summer of 1978 at NCSA in Winston-Salem. She attended a five week art program and studied design and figure drawing. After graduation from PCHS, she plans to enter the field of commercial art.

The week was spent studying North Carolina gov- emment. In the mock election, Jackie had the honor of being elected to the Senate. She was sponsored by the American Legion. Ricky Owens - President of Albemarle Federation FFA 89 jeffrey Vaughn - Vice-president ofthe Eastem District of North Carolina Association of Student Councils.
