A path we began when we first started school A chair we sat in no bigger than a stool. A few rough curves here and jagged edges there But there are bumps and bruises found everywhere. Along the path, sand and rocks we added And all our trampling feet kept it fully padded. Then gradually this path became a road Bearing each and every person's load. Then gradually these loads were uplifted for each of us Causing less confusion, much less fuss. But somehow several things got in most of our ways Which slowed and disrupted most of our days. , Encouragement and understanding we received from all Which kept us going after each fall. As we come to a stop there's a tum we'll all make Whether to college or to work, there's something at stake. But traveling this road we'll give up never Because this road we're traveling continues forever. - Carolyn Felton 32 Seniors
