FUTURE BUSINESS LEADERS OF AMERICA The Future Business Leaders of America is composed of students interested in pursuing a career in the business world after gradua- tion. Membership is open to students that have taken or are taking a business-related course. They sponsored a bake sale and a car wash to raise funds for the activities of the club, FBLA members entered business- related contests on the district level, attended a Leadership Conference, and entered a float in the Hertford Christmas parade. Officers of the club are: President- Cathy Allen, Vice-President - Patti Riddick, Secretary-Treasurer - Peggy Lowe, and His' torian - Donna Stallings. LE CERCLE FRANCAIS '-111: The French Club enjoyed a very good club membership this year along with an active schedule. They wrote and presented French skits. They attended a French play at U.N.C. FUTURE FARMERS OF AMERICA The Future Farmers of America is one of the most active organizations at PCHS. The FFA placed represen- tatives in various contests district-wide, including Forestry, Land judging, Parliamentary Procedure, Creed, Extemporaneous Public Speaking, Public Speak- ing, Tool Identification, and Livestock Judging. The winner of the FFA Sweetheart Contest was Brenda Pierce. She represented the local chapter well at the Federation Contest at Northeastem High School. For more information about these contests, see page 92. Members also attended the N.C. State Fair, Districtl , 'nil' SZTVQC .l Leadership Workshop, District I Rally, State Conven- tion, and other field trips. Magazine sales helped to finance these activities. Officers of the club are: President - Ricky Owens, Vice-President - Michael Cartwright, Secretary - Charlie White, Treasurer - Randy Winslow, Reporter - jack Dail, and Sentinel - Elton Layden.
