PCI-IS is proud to have an undefeated junior varsity basketball team. The lowest score made by the team was 62 and the highest was 99. The highest any team scored against our team was 74 in a regular conference game with Gumberry. Gumberry also scored 78 against the IV's in a playoff game. It's been a few years since we have had an undefeated team, The junior varsity team was conference champs and were also undefeated in the playoffs. Coach Pete Hunter did an excellent job with the team this past season by using the varied talents of his young players. The smallest margin of points in a game was two points in a close game with Elizabeth City junior High. The greatest margin was 65 points against Camden. 126 IV Basketball

GIRLS' BASKETBALL The 1978-79 girls' basketball team had a very un- lucky season. The team record was 0-15. Coach Carolyn Rogers commented: We're still a relatively young team. This year we lacked any real height. Fouling and not making our foul shots were our two main problem areas. There was a great lack of team work which hurt the team as a whole, but there's still a lot of talent and I expect it to be shown next year. 128 Girls' Basketball The girls' basketball team is made up of the following girls: Valerie Walker, Cathy Wells, Lorraine Tolson, Fearlie White, Sharon Carson, Mary Rumble, Bethsheba Ormond, Valerie Skinner, Brenda Pierce, Mary O'Neal, Helaine jones, Victoria Banks, Vera Brown, Cynthia Wills, Kim Rountree, and Flora Hinton, trainer. ll in '1 f'-si fy , r ,, .gm g,..Q, .
