. . . Our childhood dreams are quickly closing in the rays of a sunset. Yet adulthood awaits us in the new dawn? High school is the closing of our years as children with naive dreams and illusions - sometimes fulfilled, often shattered. But high school is also a beginning. It is a time to shape ideas and goals and fuse them together into unique personalities. We are newly emerged butterflies, eagerly testing our wings before seeking new adventure. We are privileged to have experienced Permian as a testing ground for adulthood. The stages of our development have been a multitude of emotions. In three years we have tasted the freshness of new knowledge, discontent over school policies, exhilaration of a victorious state game, apathy of a few, and participation by many. Each phase enriched our growth and molded us into the people we will be after graduation. High school can be the sunrise of maturity. But we must look around us and experience what it offers.
