Dedica tion We, the members of the Griffin Staff, wish to dedicate the 1957 Griffin as a token of our ap- preciation to the person who is perhaps the most popular and admired individual on Perkiomen's campus, Mrs. Stephen W. Roberts. Mrs. Roberts, since her arrival at Perkiomen School six years ago, has shown the utmost sin- cere loyalty and interest in the students, faculty, parents, alumni, and friends of the school. Through her efforts, contributions to the school have increased from an insignificant figure to a very remarkable amount. lt is impossible to describe the many virtues and attributes of Mrs. Roberts, to do so would easily fill a book of this size. Instead, we will draw only a sketch of some of the qualities which have endeared her to the hearts of both the faculty and the students. Mrs. Roberts is one of those rare people who radiate a dynamic force of happiness and purposefulness. She has a positive personal magnetism which no one can resist. Just one look at her sincere smile has encouraged many boys to reach their obiectives. When a cause is present, Mrs. Roberts is not far distant. She has been instrumental in the reformation of the alumni groups and the Alum- ni News magazine, of which she is editor. She is the founder and the advisor of the Stamp Club, the first of its kind on the campus. She is con- stantly forming and working with choral groups. Truly, there are very few worthwhile projects in which Mrs. Roberts has not taken part. Mrs. Roberts has made a lasting impression on Perkiomen School which will neither be du- plicated nor eradicated. lL ' Q..X 8:29 t o Q ALUNN' X M ' S ig' I, x O ezze - F' ww! 9 I , .JJ SSS SE. is SX C ' N g 74,798

Standing-Left to Right: Lapensohn, Feinman, Michalover, Levitis, Viener, Seated: Eastwood, Stelifensen, Gruner, Stephens, Koeneman. Not in Picture: Novick, Griffin Staff The writers for the Grilafin worked hard at their jobs. The Senior articles were done by Ed Stephens, Chip Eastwood, Buddy Richman, Steve Gruner, George Viener, Charlie Schrader, and Jerry Levitis. Fritz Albert wrote the articles for the activities. The iob of organizing the financial end is no easy one, and Dick Steffensen handled the posi- tion as Business Manager well. Mr. Edgerton contributed the sketches which are on the divider sheets. These sketches dis- tinguish our year book from the average high school or preparatory school book. Besides ex- hibiting artistic ability, they show a wonderful sense of humor. There was one large addition to the Griftin this year and that is the underclassmen section with individual pictures. Heretofore a single group picture-one for each class-has been sufficient. This addition was made to give an added attraction to the eighth, ninth, tenth, and eleventh graders by having something of per- sonal interest for them in the book.
