Coming off a winless season, the 1981 football season did not look good. When they lost the season opener and dropped the second game to Meeker, everyone be- came worried. The Demons won the next two games and the fans got their faith back. But the De- mons lost their next two games, one to district rival, Stroud. Sitting on a 2-4 record, and O-1 in district play, with their next three games being district, the team was in a do or die situation. P-T easily got past Drumright and Kellyville, but still faced the powerful Chandler Lions for a spot in the playoffs. In the tough game at Chandler the scrap- py Demons came out victorious, 21-8. P-T assured themselves a winning season by romping the helpless Newkirk Tigers 40-12. Watch out, Eric, they have you surrounded Smith finds a hole as lVlcKosato looks on. 1 Coach Russell says, stay 'tuff'.
