CHEERLEADERS Cro Team Go! yells Donna Sidoti, Linda Lewis, Ruth Anne Puckrin, and Andrea Lowry,the Junior High Cheerleaders. These girls, advised by Miss Miley, cheered our team on at all the home games and also at Holy Angels, Port Clinton, Vermilion, Huron, and Margaretta. The cheerleaders were also in charge of numerous pep rallys before the home games. With money donated by the Junior High Student Council the girls bought material and made their own skirts. BAND This year there are two bands under the direction of John Aldrich. The eighth grade band consisted of twenty musicians. Their first public performance was at the Dedication of the Furry Elementary School. They have played for many football and basketball games held at Perkins School. They were one of the several bands that played at the basketball tournament at Margaretta High School February 20. The annual Spring Band Concert was held on April 18. The officers of the band are John Stewart,President5 Lorraine Baillie,Vice-President, Peggy Lindsley,Secretary and Treasurer. This year the band is working hard for their uniforms with the help of the newly organized Band Parents' Club. The Band Parents Club consists of parents of the band .members from the seventh and eighth grade bands and the sixth grade beginners. The seventh grade band consists of twenty members. They played at the prelude of the Christmas program Seasons Delights . This year they have been functioning merely as a training band. The sixth graders make up a beginning band. Their first training was on pre-band instruments. That enabled more students to experience playing an instrument. At the conclusion of the pre-band training those students who are interested will change over to band instrurnents. They are members of the Beginning Band. Back Row:Gassan, Deehr, Ju. Krawetzki, Je . BASKETBALL TEAMS Mr. lllig did a fine job with our seventh and eighth grade teams this year. He showed them the fundamentals of the game of basketball. The team members were eager to play and were out on the court trying to win every game. They learned. to be good winners and losers. The teams are sure to improve next year. The team members are: Freddy Dahs, David Deehr, Jack Girard, Don Hoover, Gilbert Jones, Bill Keubler, Jim Pruitt, Bill Pahl, Gerald Smith, Tony Sidoti, Bill Taylor, Don Taylor, Henry Thomas, Bob Winfield and Bob Zech. The scores of the seventh grade games are: Vermilion Perkins 4 Margaretta Perkins 7 Holy Angels Perkins 8 Holy Angels Perkins 19 Margaretta Perkins l The team members are: Robert Burns, Albert Frierson, Tim Fletcher, Dale Gittinger, Terry Leber, Marvin Garlock, Jerry Kaufman, Jeff Pascoe, Jim Pruitt, Mike Shelky, Tom Stimson, Terry Thomas, Manager John Sanderson. The scores of our games were: Vermilion PCI'ki1'1S 11 Holy Angels Perkins 26 Port Clinton P61'kiI1S 22 Margaretta Perkins 18 Holy Angels Pe1'kiI1S 18 Margaretta Perkins 23 Vermilion Pe rkins 20 St. Peter 8: Pauls Perkins 19 INTRAMURAL BASKE TBALL Intramural Basketball was started this year on Saturday mornings during basketball season for sixth, seventh, and eighth grade boys. They were first divided into groups and later picked names for their group. The Kingfishers won the most games. Mr. Stone was their supervisor.
