SGFTBALL TEAIVI REBUILDS The girls' softball team under T Coach Luginbill ended its third if Q, 'i year with a 4-44 record. The -. 3 team won over Fremont St. Joe twice and over Norwalk St. Paul and Huron. However, this record i is deceiving for they lost three e other games to Tiffin Columbian, Margaretta and Tiffin Calvert by a total of only four runs. This third season's team had to i adjust its lineup to replace at least five outstanding seniors who graduated. Individual honors went to Sally T Baum QMVPJ, centerfielder and first baseman, to Tracy Morris QMIPQ, outfielder,and to Betsy Lucal qCoaches' Awardy, Coach Web Luglnblll I.. MVP: Scott Fry MIP: Ed Lonos Captains: Scott Fry, Tony Green, Stan Gilbert - Action pictures by Mr. James Hauser Coach's Award: Thad Howells With the leadership of the Tri- captains Tony Green, Scott Fry and Stan Gilbert, the Pirate track won the SBC with a 6-2 record. The team also won the Pirate Relays and the Oak Harbor Invitational, were fifth in the District, and captured sixth place in the Regional meet. Earning the MVP award this year was Scott Fry.
