The G Club represents the boys who have earned letters in one of the four sports in school. They have certain requirements to pass before they are admitted into the club. The small but mighty football team of -11 seemed to have reached their peak during the middle of the season when they defeated Wauneta, and came back the next week to crush their old time rival, Ogallala, by a score of 13 to 0. A broken arm in the Oshkosh game stopped Chuck Collier and with that went our hopes to defeat Oshkosh and Imperial. The entire squad enjoyed a week end trip to Lincoln to see the Nebraska-Pitts burgh football game. Vernon Brinkley and Dwight Kemling were elected honorary co-captains for the 1941 season. 1 at t i Although the Plainsman lacked height they still enjoyed a rather successful season by defeating some ot' the top teams as Chappell and Ogallala. The Plainsman will be looking forward to a good season next year with only two of ten lettermen graduating. Everett Powell and Francis Schrotberger are thc seniors on the squad.
