C MPIO S DE PITE DEFEAT Accolades To The Best The Catalyst staff and the entire Julian Family would like to congratulate the varsity football team and their coaches for such a brilliant performance on the field and in the court room, Jaguar pride was exemplified through their determination. Coach Smith and his staff have done a magnificent iob produc- ing six city championship teams in the short history of Julian High School. Y This Season the Jaguars were disqualified from the state play- offs because of an alleged ineligible player. However, they didn't accept defeat. Instead the Jaguars continued to prepare and took the matter to court. On Tuesday, November 6. l984. The Jaguars won an unprecedented U.S. District Court victo- ry, and were reinstated to the playoffs the day before they were scheduled to play. Unfortunately, the bid for the state championship.
