B Mr. Zahm, Mr. Fulmer, and Mr. McDonald. 25 E' N X.xx, , Q The chairman of the Business Department, David Bas- sett, worked with Mrs. Joanne Smoker, Marianne Beam, and Dennis Adams in the teaching of commercial skills such as typing, bookkeeping, shorthand, law, man- agement, and office practice. The goal of the Business Department, explained Mr. Bassett, is to train students for job entry. A deeper and more specialized program, however, is necessary for the Pequea student. Courses like graphic arts and accounting should be added to the curriculum. The business students served the entire school. Some aided teachers while others typed, stenciled, and ran off needed materials. Horace Martin served as Pequeals guidance counselor. The nursing duties were assumed by Mrs. Rhoda Hostetter. Mrs. Rosalye Yashek took command of the new li- brary facilities. Though extremely pleased with the greater amountof room available, her work has doubled. The student use of the IMC has risen between fifty and one-hundred per cent over last year. Mr. Gamber, Mrs. l-lostetter, and Mr. Gingher.
