The FTA concluded an eventful year With a talent assembly held in April in observance of Teaching Career Month. Other senior club members in- cluded jim Morrow and Donna Dcnlingcr.

Under the supervision of Mr, Siegel and Mr. Reed, and the leadership of Betty Brenernan, :the Future Teachers of America As- sociation maintained an active role in Pequea's extracurricular pro- gram. Included in the club's ac- tivities for the year was a student- teacher day in which every member was given an opportunity to teach in an area of his interest. Each club member was given a student -teacher assignment which involved such responsibilities as correcting papers, occasionally supervising a class, preparing labs, recording grades, and doing research. During National Education Week the FTA, in cooperation with the National Honor Society, sponsored a tea for Pequea's faculty and ad- ministrators . FTA CO 'e I. PEQUEA' FUTURE F The junior and Senior classes have a computer similation program in which they change the program of a model farm according to their interests and according to the man- ner in which they conceive that the farm would be Wbrked at its most effectual level. The students are helpinga doctoral candidate with his thesis by doing this research proj- ect. Bob Wanner competed against twenty-four other boys in the Na- tional Livestock Showmanship Con- test. Bob had no intentions of enter- ing the contest, until the individual who was to represent the state of New Mexico failed to present him- self at the contest. At the urging of Mr. I-Iorchler, Bob entered the con- test and Won the first place prize.
