The task of planning social activities for all women students falls into the hands of the Associated Women Students Council. Another big annual fall event was the Father-Daughter Banquet, featuring as the theme Dad's My Pal, Pm His Gal. A very successful cake baking contest was a new feature started this year by the council. The biggest event of the year, however, was Orchid Day, at which time all prospective women stu- dents from the neighboring high schools were treated to a luncheon, fashion show, and tour of the campus. Winding up spring activities was the widely attended Mother-Daughter Banquet.
