They completely revised and brought up to date the Constitution and By-laws, adding the office of Treasurer to those already elected by the student body. Working with the Political Senate, the Board helped to win the over-all competition in the Bill of Rights program sponsored throughout Southern California. This was the first year Pepperdine entered the contest. Through the work of Jack Schlatter and Ruth Anderson, the Board took leadership in furthering intercollegiate relations by helping plan the Student Government Workshop. Each committee on Student Board did its share of work to make the campus activities outstanding. Through cooperation of the GRAPHIC, a picture ballot was used for the first lime in the general election ond a record turnout was announced by the Board. It was a successful year because of these student leaders.
