The sound of children's good-byes, Ihe scorch for books and binder, and a 8c home for dinner arc all a part of the memories of the parent-students of Normandie Village. The nights after a long day of eight-hour job were not always conducive to studying, but the knowledge that Friend Joe next door worked a double shift and carried two more units than some of his friends made tired eyes read the history lesson once more. ormandie Village

'Operation Pool led to several revolutionary projects and presentations. A concert featuring les Baxter was the official kick-off for the series of fund-raising activities. The concert was followed by o gigantic carnival replacing the usual homecoming parade. Other events included swim and sports shows. 24
