NSTAN T S U CCESS! The curtains rise, the lights go on-INSTANT SUC- CESS! the cast, crew, and audience of The Miracle Work- er feel this was the best play ever put on at P.H.S. Not only did the audience enjoy the performance but the Thespian Organization who reviewed the play did too. The cast, and crew of Worker were issued an invitation to perform at the state conference which will be held at P.H.S. I feel we can represent P.H.S. at the State Thespian conference with our heads held high, said Mr. Ron Se- lim, the show's director. Despite the problems of getting used to a new stage, hard work pulled everything together. The new audito- rium was definately an asset to the show. Not only did the auditorium, the excellent cast, crew, and directing make this play a success, but also the story itself. I chose Worker because I wanted a play that would make the actors reach and one that would bring in the audience, said Mr. Selim, The cast is blessed with a number of seniors whose experience is reflected in their fine performances. Kelly Pallitto, Debbie Bennett, Karl Coleman, Scott Reagles, and Annie Frank make this story of learning a moving and enjoyable experience. -DaNelle Hagan Fall Play 27

if-0 SPIRIT AND WHATI7! Spirit and Pride have always been a big part of P.H.S. and Student Council is always involved. Dean Fink, presi- dent of Student Council, explains why Pride in Motion was chosen for our theme this year, We took the theme from the song Man in Motion . Our school has a lot of spirit and pride, and through our clubs and activities, we put our spirit and pride into action. Thus, Pride in Motion . Members of Student Council put their Pride in Motion . Members of Student Council put their Pride in Motion by attending assemblies to get the crowd spirited. Also, Ms. Sulter, Student Council sponsor, and Student Council are in- volved in other activities throughout the year: Panther Week, Homecoming, Teacher of the Month, Campbell Soup Label Drive, and Christmas Assembly. These are just a few activities that they sponsor to keep up Peoria's Pride . -DaNelle Hagan Pride In Motion 29
