Drama Students Present Comedies ON OCT. 16TH the Drama Department presented three comedies and four funny skits in its opening production of the sea- son. The first play, entitled Nobody Sleeps, is about a couple of burglars who encounter an interesting family. Shock of His Life was presented by the Drama I Class. It deals with a misunderstood Life and Death situation. The Advanced Drama Class presented If Girls Asked Boys For Dates, a comedy about reversed dating roles. The four skits were: TaIk for Two, R. U. There, Madam, I Pitch and Frontier Psychiatrist. Announcers for the evening's productions were Lynette Forbes and Tina Lintz. Ms. Deanna Shcolnik directed all the productions. This is her sixth year with PHS, and the Drama Depart- ment has come a long way in that time.

THE ANNUAL BAND Blackouts has been a tradition at Peoria for many years. It gives students a chance to show off their talents and have fun at the same time. KRIGHTD Lafayette Coleman took first place with the song, Love Has No Pride. COPP. PAGE RIGHT! Sam Dilettoso and Jim Blackmore were IVIasters of Ceremony. COPP. PAGE FAR RIGHTJ Terri Burdo, Valerie Micek, Shari Abramowitz, Josie Badillo and Julie Corum presented the pantomime, Sound of SiIence. CBELOWJ Third place went to Randi Ballard and David Flores. They sang a duet entitled Don't Cry, John. KLOWER RIG HTl Laura Bates received second place when she sang You'lI Never Walk Alone. COPP. PAGE LOWER RIGHTl Bill Rowell, IVlike Polvani and Jerry Padron pre- sented OriginaI Sounds rock and roll style. COPP. PAGE LOWER FAR RIGHTD Jim Blackmore kept the audience busy while the acts were getting ready.
