Loyal Cena tial fans lined and streets and the gym- nasium as the Lions approached the high school. lixcited fans. players and cheerleaders from within the motorcade shouted We're Number l. as they passed the high school, As Marc Utley and Percy Neal carried the huge first place trophy into the gym- nasium. the crowd let out a roar that lasted for at least Eve minutes, Coach Bruce Boyle stated that he and his players didn't recognize what the championship meant to them until they entered Peoria County where people lined the overpasses and streets in Goodlield.
