Dedication ln the last few years, a whole new atmosphere appeared at Peoria High School. With this new consciousness, which stressed functionality and meaning, triviality and rigidity gave way to an atti- tude of reasonable flexibility. Flexibility with the tempering hand of guidance to make sure that the energy, high ideals, and hopes of students could be nurtured and cultivated to provide the greatest amount of productivity possible. Life at Central began to reflect the influences of that tempered control more than ever before. These were years of unprece- dented change and progress-4hange which can be seen nowhere better than in the last four or five CRESTS. For such an ideal of education to become even the partial reality we have known, required an uncanny amount of quality leadership, inspiration, and toler- ance from everyone. There is, though, one person who was instrumental to the beginning of what we certainly hope can continue to be a movement in the direc- tion of progress and reality.
