The T.B.F. Uutstanding Teacher Award Ted B. Fluegel . . . first-rate chemistry teacher, Civil War buff, gardener extraordinaire, CREST faculty advisor . . . what more can one say? Somehow, the words of thanks that we try to express fall short of what we feel. This year was Mr. Fluegel's last year as the CREST'S sponsor, and . . . well, we really hate to see him leave. How do you thank someone for all the times he has bailed you out of trouble? How do you thank someone for all the encouragement and kind words he has given you? s. There is no way . . . The best we can do to show our affection as a staff for a man who was always there when we needed him, is to preserve his memory in the CREST. We are proud to initiate the first annual Ted B. Fluegel Teacher Award. This award will be presented to teachers who have shown outstanding dedication to their students. This year the award goes to two of Peoria High School's youngest teachers . . . Mr. Iohn Davidson, speech coach and teacher and Mr. Donald Booth, U.S. History and Government teacher. 1-ITC! Ns
