LIFE-A C OLLA GE OF INS TAN TANE O US 0 W PK' 99 As the graduating student pauses to reflect upon his life up to the present, a mass of questions seem to encircle him. From what is he coming? Where is he going? How Well will he fulfill his position in life? At the time, his questions may re- main unanswered. Of one thing, however, he is certain-now, the present. He knows moments of joy and sorrow, pride and humility, anger, and yearning. He may not understand them at the present, but he knows his feelings are real. When many of these moments are past and added up, his questions may still lie unanswered, for there will always be the present. Each moment he lives will be noW. For, in the words of Emerson, people live their lives in the Everlasting Now. .neges
