Solemn moments replaced eruptions of laughter, as students flitted from one mood to another in the endless flow of passing fancies. Feelings of being foot-loose and fancy-free contrasted the more sober moods of anxiety and solitude. Yet, each mood, each passing fancy constituted a single, irretrievable now in which the student found h i m s e 1 f totally emerged. Thus the year passed, a mixture of moods. Introduction Page 11

THE OW OF TODAYGE TLY FADE I T0 TUMORROW Time quietly transforms the now of today into tomorrow and blends a mixture of memories and hopes into realities. People touch one another's lives, and events occur in ways which influence individuals. Yet, when all is said and done, each per- son possesses his own, separate nowg there are no duplicates. This year, approximately two thou- sand persons built their now on the framework of Peoria High. This separate world enveloped their lives and, at the time, seemed dominant.
