THE MINDS OF ITS P PILS For the greater part of the past four years, the lives of the seniors have been filled with the now of high school. The problems, the fun, and the responsibility of being stu- dents has cast its impression in the molds of their lives. Peoria High, a school to be proud of, has provided administrators, c o u n s e l o r s , and teachers who have guided pupils through its corridors and given them ct sense of well-being. Constanlty growing facilities in- dicated a growing student body and an earnest striving for better educa- tion. Furnishing students and teach- ers with facilities for up-to-date edu- cation was a modern science wing. The erection of a swimming pool re- flected the ever-expanding interests of those at PHS.

SCHOOL ACTIVITIE FORM THE ' OWM OF STUDE T LIFE Although academic achievement is the objective of any high school, it formed but one phase of student life at Central. School-sponsored ac- tivities involved a majority of stu- dents and tilled much of their tree time. Football and basketball games occupied many a Friday and Satur- day night tor team supporters and were climaxed by such special events as a Roaring Twenties' Home- coming and the annual Turkey Day Game. Various mixers and dances were interspersed throughout the year and added more memorable nows to the lives ot students. Stu- dent Council promoted school spirit with its newly instituted Spirit Stick. This new and impressive symbol in- stilled a sense of pride in Centralites and stirred interest in all major ac- tivities of Peoria High. i' 5
